About These Recipes
Hi There!
I’m so excited to share these recipes with you. I love to cook and this collection has been years in the making!
These recipes were born out of necessity when my son struggled with severe eczema and needed to be strictly gluten- and dairy-free for a few years while healing from heart surgeries. I had a hard time finding recipes that actually tasted good, so I started experimenting in the kitchen. Over time, I created these go-to recipes that are not only delicious but also family-friendly.
What You’ll Find Here:
Quick and Easy Recipes: Most of these are simple to make, though a few take extra time—but trust me, they’re worth it!
Gluten- and Dairy-Free Options: While designed to be gluten- and dairy-free, many of these recipes can easily be adapted with regular flour or milk if that’s what you prefer.
Low-Sugar Treats: I have a sweet tooth but wanted healthier alternatives for my family. These recipes are sweetened with raw honey, 100% maple syrup, coconut sugar, or monk fruit sugar—better for digestion and less likely to spike blood sugar compared to processed white sugar.
Why Nutrition Matters
Good nutrition is so important—especially during pregnancy, postpartum, and for growing kids! I believe in helping kids develop a taste for real food early on. One way to do this is by involving them in the kitchen:
For Babies: Let them watch and smell the food while they play nearby—it’s all part of the sensory experience!
For Older Kids: Give them simple, safe tasks to help with cooking or baking. Let them get messy—it’s fun and builds excitement making them more likely to try new foods!
A Little Note About the Photos
Full disclosure: most of my photos are taken straight from my phone in my kitchen—real-life cooking at its finest! (I may have used a few stock photos here and there…sometimes I forget to snap a photo!)
I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as I’ve loved creating them. They’re made with love and tested by my family and friends—and I’m excited for you to try them too!
